AI Sentri
    Inputs · AI Visibility

One AI inventory. Every system, owner and risk.

Know exactly what AI exists across your business. No blind spots.

Most organisations don't know what AI is actually being used across their teams. This creates risk, duplication, and missed value. AI Sentri gives you a complete view of your AI estate and highlights where action is needed.

Questions about AI inventory and shadow AI

What is an AI inventory, and why do we need one?

An AI inventory is a single register of every AI system your organisation uses — built in-house, bought from a vendor, or embedded in software you already licence. It is the prerequisite for everything else: you cannot classify risk, assign an owner, or answer a regulator without first knowing what exists. Article 6 of the EU AI Act turns on per-system classification, which is impossible without a per-system record.

What is shadow AI, and how does AI Sentri find it?

Shadow AI is any AI tool in use that has not been sanctioned or recorded — usually a subscription bought on a card, or a free assistant quietly handling real customer data. AI Sentri surfaces it with short surveys sent across the business, so tools appear in your register before they appear in an incident report. Responses feed straight into the inventory as candidate systems for review.

How much detail do we need to capture per system?

Enough to answer the questions you will actually be asked: what it does, who owns it commercially and technically, what data it touches, which vendor is behind it, and what controls sit around it. AI Sentri prompts for each field and shows what is missing, so a partly-completed system is visibly partial rather than silently assumed to be fine.

Do we need to inventory every model, or every use case?

Use cases, in almost every case. Regulators care about the purpose an AI system is put to and the people it affects, not the number of model weights behind it. One vendor tool used for three different decisions is three entries worth tracking; three models serving one workflow is usually one.

Who normally owns the AI inventory?

Most often the CIO or CTO, with risk and legal as consumers of it rather than maintainers. AI Sentri records a business owner and a technical owner per system precisely because accountability tends to fall between those two roles, which is where governance quietly fails.
